What it does well
Materials headroom is the story. A 300 °C hotend with a hardened steel nozzle and hardened extruder gear as standard means fiber-reinforced filaments (PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PPA/PPS-CF) run without an upgrade shopping list. The enclosed chamber holds roughly 50 °C passively — no active chamber heater, just insulation and airflow flaps — which is enough for small-to-medium ASA parts, per Bambu’s own specifications.

The servo extruder is the quiet spec that matters most. Bambu’s PMSM-driven extruder delivers up to 8.5 kg of extrusion force — about 70% more than its predecessor, per the manufacturer — with grinding and clog detection sampling at 20 kHz. In practice-adjacent terms: flexible filaments (TPU) and abrasive fibers are far less likely to turn into jam tickets, and the machine notices feed problems seconds after they start instead of after a spaghetti monument has formed.

- Proprietary ecosystem gravity — same trade-off as every Bambu machine: excellent profiles, closed-ish hardware. Tinkerers, weigh this.
