Editorial independence

Rankings and scores are never for sale. Vendors cannot pay for placement, and review units or free samples — when we accept them — never buy a score; every product runs the same test protocols. Sponsored placements, if we ever accept them, will be visually distinct and labeled.

Testing claims

Numbers presented as coming from our test protocols come from those protocols. Where we rely on manufacturer specifications or community-reported data (for example, before we have completed hands-on testing of a specific unit), we say so in the article.
